Camp Gan Israel of the Upstate

Debi was trained as a Special Education teacher, a field she naturally chose because of her love for children.

 

During the 13 years that Debi lived in Greenville, she put her energy and love into developing opportunities for Jewish education for children. 

She was all about the children and everything she did was for them. 

 

Debi passed at age 64 in the summer of 2015.

 

The Debi Smith Camp Scholarship Fund will continue the work that she devoted herself to.

Debi's passion for children's Jewish education will continue, as every child in the Upstate will have the opportunity for a most positive Jewish summer experience.
